Thoughts From Susan

We forget, sometimes, why we knit, crochet or do our stitchery. So much is always going on and so many people need something from us. We work on these projects because it is fun. We work on these projects in our rapidly shrinking free time. Free time is practically a thing of the past. When we carve out that precious moment of time, we must do something for ourselves. Calm ourselves and experience the Yoga effect of needles clicking together or thread slipping through our hands.
Being a nurse, I can look at a project that all of a sudden has turned out to be too big or you discover a huge mistake in a lace pattern 32 rows back and I can smile. None of this is life threatening. Remember, knitting is fun and relaxing. If you make a mistake, no one is going to die or the earth isn't going to start spinning the wrong way. Just do the Frog stitch (rip it, rip it, rit it) and start again.
Time is precious. Make the most of every minute you get to pick up your project. Pour your favorite beverage. Throw open the curtains or turn on your Day Light if it is cloudy ouside. Put on some music. Put some beautiful spring flowers into a wase. Create your perfect space.
Can't escape at home? Well, head over to The Stitchin' Den if you are in Colorado. If you are elsewhere in The Stitchin' Den's fibersphere and are too far to come into our shop, head to your local yarn shop. We all love to have you come in where it is safe and comfortable.
-------------------------------
The Stitchin' Den staff enjoys having everyone stop in to our new space. We have alot of room to sit and chat while working on our favorite projects. We have created a cozy safe community of people enjoying each other, fiber, color and a moment to stop and catch your breath.
Gas prices are low, making a trip to Estes Park and The Stitchin' Den an affordable escape to the mountains. Rocky Mountain National Park and Estes Park are perfect destinations for your travels within this country. The weather is mild. The elk are wandering around town. Estes is small enough making most shops and restraunts within walking distance from your hotel or campground. The hiking, snowshoeing, cross country skiing and sledding are fabulous.
Our new shop finally has space for all of its wonderful stitchery charts, canvases, fibers, books and classes. The needlework area even has its own table for picking fibers or working on a project.

COMING SOON...
