Knitting For The Community And Charity

prayer_shawlsBeginning Saturday,November 14th at 1:00PM until 3:00Pm, The Stitchin’ Den in Estes Park, Colorado will be hosting their first monthly get together focusing on knitting for others. We will provide support, ideas and special discounts. Items focused on during these sessions can be left at the Stitchin’ Den. We will handle distributing finished items to the predesignated drop sites for donations.

November’s project will be prayer shawls.  “Prayer Shawls become tangible symbols of love when word can’t be found to adequately espress one’s feelings.”  this is a quote from the book The Prayer Shawl Companion written by Janet Bristow and Victoria A. Cole-Galo.  They are the hug that can be sent across oceans and mountains.  These shawls are a comfort whether it is the middle of the night or two years from now when a song comes on the radio and you need to feel comforted.

Join us and feel the joy that is created by knitting or crocheting these special shawls.
