The annual "Row by Row" has started!
You may ask, "What is that?" It is an annual tour of quilt shops across the United States, Canada and Europe. Quilters visit shops and collect unique patterns designed by each individual shop. These patterns are not random designs. Each year, a new theme is chosen and each quilt shop creates a row showing their interpretation of the theme.
The theme for 2019 is "Taste the Experience". As you travel to quilt shops, you will be amazed at all the different creative, sometimes out of the box, designs for this theme. The shops have done their part and have patterns and kits available for you.
Here is what you do...visit quilt shops near and far from you. Ask for each shop's "Row by Row" pattern. Patterns for rows are free; collect as many, or as few as you wish. Stores will have fabric kits available for sale for their unique row pattern. This is The Stitchin' Den's row:
If you are a quilter, or a "quilter wannabe", love fabric and the thrill of collecting, search online for participating quilt shops near (or far) from your home and make a trip to collect row patterns. Then go home and create a gorgeous, unique quilt. Contestants must include at least 8 different patterns into their quilt.
When you finish combining those individual rows, bring your finished quilt to your local quilt store. If you are the first quilter to bring in a finished quilt that includes your local yarn store's row, your quilt shop will reward you with an awesome prize! (25 fat quarters!) Start collecting today! September 3rd is the last day for this creative adventure! Have fun!
