The mission of the Wool Market is "to bring together natural animal fiber producers, educators, retailers and consumers for the benefit of the industry." This is a very broad goal, but If you have been to the wool market in past years, you know this market does, indeed, accomplish it's goal! Pick up a schedule of events when you get to the fair, so you can plan your day.
If you are a fiber person, you will want to sign up (SOON)! for a workshop or two. These workshops take place June 6 & 7. Topics include spinning, knitting brioche, Bosnian crochet, and many others. The market will be open June 8-9. That is where you will see all the beautiful products vendors have brought to tempt us!
Husbands and children will enjoy the animal tents, where you can get up close to the animals that give us fiber...including sheep, alpaca, llamas, rabbits and goats.
The whole family will enjoy watching demonstrations, such as sheep shearing, dog herding; spinning and dying. A "Knit in Public Day" area is ready for you knitters and crocheters to rest your feet and indulge yourself in your hobby.
Visit The Stitchin' Den at our booth in the market. Alison and Paula are anxious to show you new fabulous yarn that has not even made it to the shop yet! We have some beautiful new shawl kits you will HAVE to pet. Paula will also tell you about her new upcoming classes.
If you buy yarn from any vendor at the marketplace, bring it to The Stitchin' Den shop, and we will wind it for you at NO charge! See you soon for one of Estes Park's greatest events!
