Class Description: Learn how to make warm felted clog slippers, techniques include increases, short rows, knitting in the round, picking up stitches, 3 needle bind off and felting. During the final class we will actually felt the slippers.
Prerequisite skills: In order for you to feel comfortable in this class, students should know how to knit, purl, cast on and cast off and knit in the round
Materials Needed: Yarn, pattern, needles (you will need 24” cable needles and 2-16” cables or double points, tapestry needle, optional Fiber Trends Suede Slipper soles.
Pattern is sold on Ravelry or can be purchased from The Stitchin' Den.
Yarn Recommended: Worsted weight wool, Cascade 220, or Brown Sheep Lamb’s Pride. You could choose a different color for the cuffs and/or novelty yarn. Avoid white and light colors as they do not felt well.
Class Outcomes: Student will learn to increase, wrap and turn, joining in the round, picking up stitches, binding off 2 sets of needles at the same time.
