Class Description:Building with Lace is the third publication from renowned knitter and teacher, Michelle Hunter. It is a carefully designed sequence of stitch patterns that introduce knitters to lace work starting with the basics and working towards more difficult stitch patterns to make one elegant shawl
Class Outcomes: Students will learn 9 different lace patterns, provisional cast on, Russian join, chart reading, how to use beads with lace, the basics of lace knitting, lifelines & blocking.
Prerequisite skills: In order for you to feel comfortable in this class, students should know how to cast on, knit, purl, cast off. Great class for beginners and intermediate knitters who want to increase their skill level.
Yarn Recommended: Hikoo Rylie from Skacel. 5-6 skeins are needed.
Materials Needed: Building in Lace Book, Yarn, Needles, Markers, Cable Needle, Blunt End Needle for tucking strings. Optional beads and .75mm or 1mm crochet hook.
Students receive a 20% discount on supplies needed for class. All yarn must be purchased at The Stitchin' Den.
