Learn Fair Isle technique and knit a Christmas stocking in the round. You will learn how to hold the yarn in both hands, do a toe and heal of a sock.

Prerequisite skills: In order for you to feel comfortable in this class, students should know how to knit in the round and know how to knit a simple sock.
Materials Needed: Three or more colors of worsted weight yarn, Size 7 16” circular needle, Size 7 double pointed needles; stitch markers, tapestry needle, scissors and pattern: Free Ravelry Pattern-Cascade Christmas Stocking $5 to have it printed in color in the shop. https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/cascade-christmas-stocking
Class Outcomes: Students will feel confident in their ability to knit in round. Instructor will teach how to hold one yarn in each hand to achieve the Fair Isle pattern. Student will learn the basic techniques of an after thought heel and completing a toe and heel of a sock while completing this fun and cheerful pattern. Beads can be added for added dimension. Instructor will provide information on how to do letters in the pattern. Be sure to plan your Christmas list so you know who you plan to knit the stocking for!
