Class Size: 15
Class Location: Virtual via Zoom

Date: Friday, October 23rd

Time: 9:00am –12:30pm Mountain Time

Prerequisite skills:  In order for you to feel comfortable in this class, students should know how to cast on, knit, purl, bind off, knit in the round, and be familiar with Fair Isle.  This is a great class for beginning knitters who want to increase their skill level.  I recommend you complete the Knitting 101-Knitting in the Round if you are not familiar with knitting in the round.

Materials Needed: Paula will provide the pattern.

Students will need to purchase 2 skeins of worsted weight yarn in two different colors; 1 set of size 7 double pointed needles, tapestry needle, stitch markers and scissors.

Yarn Recommended:

2 skeins of Cascade 220 or Brown Sheep Lamb’s Pride Worsted in two colors

Class Outcomes:

Students will increase their confidence and knitting knowledge by completing a holiday ornament.  This project will focus on learning the basics of knitting Fair Isle.  The instructor will teach how to hold one yarn in each hand to achieve the Fair Isle pattern.  Double pointed needles will be used while knitting in the round.

Most students will be able to complete the whole ornament during class and will walk away with a fun and completed project.
