Class will be held on Zoom
Learn Fair Isle technique and knit a Mini Mitten in the round. Students will learn how to hold the yarn in both hands, and the basic construction of a mitten. The pattern can be knit with numbers as an advent calendar or without the numbers.

Prerequisite skills: In order to feel comfortable in this class, students should know how to knit in the round, know how to read a chart and be familiar with Fair Isle Knitting.
Materials Needed: Fingering weight yarn 359 yards of red, 312 yards of white, 355 yards of Light Grey and 28 yards of Dark Grey, Size 1-3 double pointed needles, stitch markers, tapestry needle, scissors and pattern: Ravelry Pattern Mitten Garland Advent Calendar $5 plus $5 to have it printed in color.

Class Outcomes: Students will feel confident in their ability to knit in round. They will learn how to read a chart. All the instructions are written in chart form. The instructor will teach how to hold one yarn in each hand to achieve the Fair Isle pattern. Students will learn the basic techniques of completing a mitten, even though it is a mini version. This is a great way to get started on creating a fun project for Christmas. Knit as many as you like whether it is just a few or all 24!
